Goodwill's 'Next Big Donation' Contest Kicks Off

Donors Win Kicks and Tix to 97X Next Big Thing

ST. PETERSBURG, FLA. — Goodwill-Suncoast’s Next Big Donation contest, presented in conjunction with 97X’s Next Big Thing, kicks off Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Brandon Goodwill Superstore. One Goodwill donor in November will win the Grand Prize:  two reserved seats at 97X Next Big Thing, a pair of Converse Chuck Taylor high-tops autographed by Next Big Thing musicians, and a meet & greet at the concert with a Next Big Thing band. Eight runner-up donors will win pairs of Converse Chuck Taylors signed by NBT musicians.

The Brandon Goodwill Superstore, 1106 E. Brandon Blvd., is the first of four official Goodwill Next Big Donation Drops.  The contest donation drops will be held at a different Goodwill store each Saturday in November.  Donors participating in the contest will be registered at a special drop-off location in the parking lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

How to win:  The person who drops off the most clothing, shoes and household items at official Goodwill Next Big Donation Drops in November, by cumulative weight, will win the Grand Prize. Each donation is a contest entry. Eight runner-up donors will also win pairs of autographed Converse shoes, including random drawings from among donors registered for the contest.

Official Goodwill Next Big Donation Drops operate in the store parking lots from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sat, Nov. 7 – Brandon Goodwill Superstore, 1106 E. Brandon Blvd.

Sat, Nov. 14    Port Richey Goodwill Store, 10447 U.S. Hwy. 19

Sat, Nov. 21 – Oldsmar Goodwill Superstore, 3929 Tampa Rd.

Sat, Nov. 28 – St. Petersburg Goodwill Store, 10596 Gandy Blvd.

97X will be on-site from 10 a.m  – 11 a.m. at the Goodwill Next Big Donation Drops to sell tickets, sans service charges, to 97X Next Big Thing. The wildly popular all-day event, featuring Rise Against, 30 Seconds to Mars, Chevelle, Matisyahu and more, will be held December 6 at the Ford Amphitheatre. Goodwill Industries-Suncoast is an official sponsor of the music festival.

Donors who miss the November donation drops can still donate to Goodwill at 97X Next Big Thing on December 6. A Goodwill donation trailer will be on-site. Donors at the event will be eligible to win a pair of Converse Chuck Taylors.

The Grand Prize Winner will be announced Wednesday, Dec. 2. For Next Big Donation contest details and complete rules, visit the Goodwill-Suncoast Web site at www.goodwill-suncoast.org.
